ZipTie
A dated analyst profile of ZipTie, a GEO tracker that prices by prompt slots and engines across seven AI products.
ZipTie is a commercial GEO vendor. On 2026-09-07, https://ziptie.dev stated that the product now lives at https://ziptie.ai. The current site sold scheduled tracking of live consumer AI search answers: citations, brand mentions, and sentiment, rolled into an AI Success Score, with optional source-impact analysis, content generation, and API access.
Geolyze files it with GEO tools because the job is generative-engine observation and optimization. It is not a classic SEO rank tracker, and it is not the three-engine credit product described in many older reviews.
This profile is an analyst file from official ziptie.ai pages captured on 2026-09-07 and re-captured on 2026-10-26, when the configurator published its full rate card. It is not a hands-on product test.
Best fit
Use ZipTie when the team wants full-answer capture on a chosen daily, weekly, or monthly cadence, across several named consumer AI search products, and can model prompt-slot usage instead of buying a flat SKU.
Unlimited seats and projects fit an agency or multi-brand team that does not want per-user fees. The 7-day trial is a better match when ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity are enough to validate the workflow, because the vendor said it does not refund unused paid time.
It is a weaker fit when the buyer needs a simple published price matrix, must test the API during trial, or needs engines ZipTie did not name.
What official pages claim
Public pages name these modules. Treat them as vendor-stated capabilities, not Geolyze lab results.
| Module | Official job | Evidence note |
|---|---|---|
| Project Wizard | Propose prompts from the site | Vendor-stated |
| Prompts & URLs | Tracked queries with per-engine full answers | Core measurement object |
| AI Success Score | 0–100 blend of citation rate, mention rate, and sentiment | Formula weights untested |
| Competitors | Brands recommended in answers, by mention share | Vendor-stated |
| LLM Trends | Side-by-side trends across engines | Vendor-stated |
| Search Console | Classic query and page metrics beside AI answers | 30-day GSC backfill claimed |
| Exports | CSV, Excel, PDF, public share links | Said to ship on every plan |
| UGC / Source Impact | Third-party and Reddit sources shaping answers | Add-on; +80% |
| Content Generation | Briefs and pieces with a fact-check loop | Add-on; $20 per context |
| API & MCP | REST and MCP at api.ziptie.ai | Add-on; $10; off in trial |
Prompt tracking is the module that maps to a serious GEO checklist: a stored prompt, a dated answer, citations, and a way to compare competitors over time. Official copy says each check captures the answer the consumer product returned. If a demo only shows a score, ask for that answer text.
Platform coverage
From ziptie.ai, engine list unchanged across the 2026-09-07 and 2026-10-26 captures:
- Named engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI Overview, Google Gemini.
- Trial (2026-10-26): ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot. The September trial set used Perplexity in place of Copilot.
- Every engine costs the same, and a check for an engine a country does not serve is never billed.
- Google AI Overviews checks also capture Google’s top-10 organic results. Bing AI Overview checks also capture Bing’s top-10 organic results.
Claude, Grok, Meta AI, and DeepSeek were not named. Country and language were described as “virtually any”; exact counts remain unknown.
Cadence is daily, weekly, or monthly. Engines are set on the workspace plan and apply to every project in it. Official copy said ZipTie does not backfill AI answers from before tracking started, and that dashboard history reaches back 365 days at most.
Pricing note
Captured 2026-10-26 from https://ziptie.ai/pricing, which now publishes the rate card as page text.
This is not a closed Basic / Standard / Pro matrix. Buyers pick engines and prompt-slot counts by cadence. The published unit economics: one prompt, one engine, one check at $0.01, or $0.0087 a check across all seven engines, with a prompt base of $9.00/mo and engine multipliers such as x2.85 at three engines. Preset floors: Starter from $25.65/mo, Professional from $340.20/mo, Enterprise from $1,647.00/mo — all materially lower than the September reading ($35.63 / $549.67 / $2,614.34). Worked example bills are published: an in-house config at $230.95/mo monthly or $184.76/mo paid yearly, a ten-client agency config at $130.72/mo, and an enterprise long-tail config at $61.00/mo.
Documented rules:
- A prompt is a monitored slot, not a per-run credit. Daily, weekly, and 30-day pools are separate and shared across every project in the workspace.
- Pause or delete a prompt returns its slot immediately. Deleting a whole project does not return slots until the next billing period.
- No credit packs or overage charges; change the plan instead.
- Teammates and projects are unlimited.
- UGC Impact Analysis:
+80%of the prompts-and-engines subtotal. - Content Generation:
$20/monthper context; each context adds 8 briefs and 4 finished pieces; unused units do not roll over; up to 50 contexts. - API & MCP:
$10/month. Rate limits named: 60 requests/minute per token, 600/minute per workspace, 50,000/day per workspace. - Longer billing periods discount the prompt subtotal (5% / 10% / 20% for quarterly / semi-annual / annual). Flat add-ons stay full price.
- USD only. Listed prices exclude tax, handled at checkout. No refunds; cancellation takes effect at the paid period’s end with access retained.
7-day trial: 25 daily prompts, three engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot), UGC Impact on, API refused, no card, once per person.
Do not use older public reviews that listed $69 / $99 / $159 plans and a single seat. Those numbers were not on the official configurator in either capture.
Strengths
The rate card is now public page text: unit prices, preset floors, engine multipliers, and worked example bills can be checked before a demo. That is more pricing transparency than most AI visibility vendors publish.
Engine list, trial exclusions, and slot mechanics are written down in more detail than most peers. A team can tell before a demo that Claude is absent, that trial is three engines, and that deleting a project will not free slots mid-cycle.
Unlimited seats and projects remove a common agency tax, and checks for engines a country does not serve are never billed. CSV, Excel, and PDF export are named on every plan.
API rate limits and the MCP endpoint are published, including the rule that one MCP tool call counts twice against the REST budget.
Limitations
The bill is still not a flat SKU. Preset floors are starting points; the quote follows engine count and cadence, and the floors moved materially between the September and October captures.
UGC Impact can dominate cost at +80% of the subtotal. The API cannot be exercised during the trial. There is no AI-answer history to import. docs.ziptie.ai is named as the full reference, but the docs site did not yield extractable prose in the September pass.
The domain migration creates documentation risk. ziptie.dev/faq/ still described a three-engine, CSV-only product in this capture. Mixing that page with ziptie.ai will produce a false comparison.
Dashboard quality, Success Score weights, and “live consumer product” capture accuracy were not independently tested. Practitioner testimonials are not Geolyze facts.
Example and counterexample
A workable use is an SEO lead buying daily slots for a few dozen category prompts on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, and Perplexity, reviewing full answers weekly, then adding Gemini after the trial.
A mismatch is enabling all seven engines plus UGC Impact on a large daily pool because a preset tile said $35.63, then receiving a Professional- or Enterprise-scale estimate.
Alternatives
The published Geolyze vendor profiles at the time of this page include AIvsRank, Profound, Peec AI, and Scrunch. Use AIvsRank when the next job is measurement, benchmarking, or audit rather than ZipTie’s GEO tracker; the wider list is compared with dated captures in Best AI Visibility Tools.
Other AI visibility vendors should not be compared feature-by-feature here until they have their own reviewed profiles.

Operator checklist
- Confirm the purchase is ziptie.ai, not an archived ziptie.dev FAQ.
- List the engines and cadence that matter commercially.
- Check which of those engines sit in the trial versus a paid unlock.
- Model daily versus weekly slot pools. Do not delete a project to “free” slots mid-cycle.
- Decide on UGC Impact before enabling it; it is
+80%. - If API or MCP is required, schedule that test after trial. Ask for a dated sample of prompt, full answer text, citations, and competitor mentions.
- Re-check the live configurator. This note is from 2026-10-26; the preset floors moved once already between captures.
Common misunderstanding
ZipTie is no longer the three-engine, one-seat credit product described in many 2026 reviews. In Geolyze terms, the current site is GEO measurement with optional content generation. Buying “ZipTie” from a stale FAQ does not describe the ziptie.ai configurator captured here.
Verification note
Official pages were captured on 2026-09-07 and re-captured on 2026-10-26 in a live browser. The two captures disagree on preset floors, trial engines, and tax language, and the October page publishes per-check unit rates the September page withheld; the page records the October rate card with the September baseline flagged. Geolyze has not operated a ZipTie workspace. Recapture the rate card, engine list, and trial terms before relying on this page for procurement.
